Matthew T. Elia, CM is a Senior Airport Planner with Hoyle Tanner & Associates. He holds a BS in Aviation from Bridgewater State University and an MBA from UMass Dartmouth. Matt began his career as a flight instructor and later held airport management roles, including Assistant Airport Manager at Cape Cod Gateway Airport and Aviation Manager for the City of Tavares, FL. He is a Certified Member of AAAE and holds multiple FAA certifications, including commercial pilot, instrument, seaplane, flight instructor, and remote pilot. Matt also volunteers with the FAA Safety Team and as a competition judge with the National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA), including as Northeast Regional Chief Judge.
